Mission and Brief of duties
The purpose of this role is to contribute to the success of the business by effectively initiating and driving incremental sales in a professional, value adding and customer focused manner:
Investigatethedomestic,regionalandinternationalmarkettofindcustomers.
Promote freight forwarding services via direct meetings, telephone, and email.
Follow up inquiries from clients (including liaising with clients and shipping lines for pricing and space matters, quotation, and follow-up until booking materialized).
Develop new customer pipeline based on priorities set by the company and growth targets.
Gather market information for reporting purposes.
Business development includes sourcing of new business prospects, sales plan/strategy/activities to reach sales KPI.
Co-work with different functions to develop solid value proposition.
Reporting to Commercial Manager of commercial results and planning.
Drivethebusinessandgrowthecompany'srevenue,marketshareandprofitability.
Who are you
To be successful in this role, you will need:
▪ Bachelor’s Degree Transportation/Logistics/Supply Chain/Port & Shipping
▪ Minimum 5 years’ experience in Freight Forwarding, Import/Export shipping, Market and Customs processes
▪ Communicate (spoken and written) fluently in English.
▪ Communicate (spoken and written) Mandarin and Hokkien are preferable.
▪ Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
▪ Abilitytoworktowardsadeadline.
▪ Attention to details and accuracy of work.
▪ Team Player and co-operative attitude.
▪ Enthusiasticanddetermined.
